Beer Clear-Out Now On!
Happy New Year to all beer lovers!
With all well-intended resolutions to 'cut back' hopefully out of the window, what better time to top up the ale supply? We have placed some heavy reductions on many beers approaching sell by dates in order to make room for new stock. We will be looking to replenish some old favourites, but importantly will be on the look out for some interesting new tastes.
So pay us a visit some time, check out the Bargain Bin and don't forget, sugestions are always welcome.

Last Orders for Christmas
We are encouraging that last orders for Christmas be with us by Monday 19th December. Naturally, we will do everything we can to get orders placed after this date to their destinations as soon as possible. Indeed, we have been advised that our courier will continue to make collections from us right up until Friday 23rd. However we are nominating this cut-off date as an advisory measure in order to avoid potential disappointment.

50 New Beers From 11 Breweries
We are pleased to offer a new range of 50 beers, many of which you would be hard pushed to find anywhere else.
Boggart Brewery of Manchester offer I Am Beer as well as their legendary Rum Porter.
Bank Top Brewery of Bolton offer a range of 4 beers, or you may wish to buy them in a mixed case.
Dunham Massey Brewery of Altrincham offer an interesting range of 4 beers and again a mixed case is available.
We have a selection of 5 beers from Empire Brewery, based in Huddersfield.
Another Manchester-based brewer is Hornbeam, offering 5 more imaginative brews. A mixed case will be available shortly.
Naylor's Brewery from Keighly have provided 3 flavoursome and inventive beers, as well as 3 more traditional recipes, celebrating The Railway Children events held at the nearby Keighly and Worth Valley Railway.
Prospect Brewery of Wigan have a very traditional feel to their beers. 7 are on offer and are available as a mixed case
Greenfield Brewery are based near Manchester and again offer a very traditional range, which are on offer as a mixed case.
We can offer some great flavours from the progressive Saltaire Brewery from Shipley, Yorkshire.
The Beowulf Brewery proudly sit by a lake in Staffordshire and have a great range of 7 ales, available as a case of 12 or a case of 24.
Last but not least we have added 4 beers from the Keswick Brewery of Cumbria, also available as a mixed case.
We are working on getting all of the photos up. We are due to attend a few gift fairs in the upcoming weeks so are also spending time preparing for those.
More mixed case options will go up as and when we get the chance to prepare them.
Some of the beers on offer are very hard to find and there is no guarantee that we will even be able to get hold of them next time around, so don't miss out!

Beers Coming Soon
A range of beers with an expected delivery date of 3rd November 2011 have now been added to the site. Customers are welcome to pre-order these beers in anticipation of receiving their order week commencing 7th November. Pitfield and Saffron Breweries added.
We are pleased to have added an extensive range of 15 beers from the Pitfield Brewery portfolio. Pitfield are based in Essex and specialise in producing Organic beers and offer traditional ales alongside a fascinating range of historic beers, which use recipes true to the originals. All Pitfield beers are bottle-conditioned and most of them have Camra RAIB accreditation.
The traditional ales are available to order as a case of 12.
If you fancy trying the historic range these can also be bought as a case of 12.
In addition a special case of 24 is available containing all 15 beers from the range.
Saffron Brewery are also based in Essex and offer a superb range of 9 ales to suit all tastes. Once again a case of 12 is available offering a discounted price on buying individual bottles.
In the upcoming weeks we are set to expand our range even further, including ales specially brewed for the festive season.

Brentwood Brewery Added.
We have added a range of beers from Brentwood Brewery in Essex.
Hope & Glory is a traditional red bitter, while Lumberjack is stronger with a sweeter and fuller flavour.
There are a couple of lighter offerings with Brentwood Gold being a fine example of this popular style. In addition Summer Virgin is a blonde beer made with 100% pale malt.
Finally a more unusual offering. Chockwork Orange is an Old Ale with a zesty citrus twist! Believe me it will get your tastebuds ticking!
As ever you can buy a selection of these beers by the case at a reduced rate to buying them individually.

Limited run of rare Mill Green beers.
Just a heads-up to mention that we recently popped over to Mill Green microbrewery in Edwardstone, Suffolk. We have secured a limited run of their Green Goose bitter, Lovelys Fair pale ale and Mawkin Mild.
As you will see they are all presented in attractive looking pint bottles.
Not only are we the only place online you will find these beers, as we took the entire stock in the brewery we are the only place you can find them full-stop! Don't miss out!

8 New Breweries Added
Good Day beer lovers.
We have been working on bringing a fresh range of beers to complement old favourites.
To that end we have ranges from Sadler's brewery in the Black Country, Salopian Brewery in Shrewsbury, Slater's Brewery in Stafford, Oakham Ales in Rutland and Green Jack in Suffolk.
We also have a stunning pale ale from Nottingham brewery and a limited edition celebration ale produced by Elgood's in Cambridgeshire, to mark this year's Royal Wedding.
In addition there are a range of new mixed cases which as ever offer discounts on buying bottles individually.

We have added 5 beers from the Sticklegs Brewery based near Colchester in Essex. They range through a traditional bitter, a pale ale, a mild, an old ale and a golden ale. So something for all tastes. Also available is a mixed case which as ever offers a discount on buying bottles individually.

Following on from yesterdays additions, we are now able to offer 5 beers from Red Fox brewery, based in Coggeshall, Essex.
The Braintree Gold is only available on a very limited run as it was originally only brewed for Braintree beer festival.

Mauldons and Mill Green breweries added
We have added beers from 2 new breweries from Sudbury in Suffolk.
Mauldons offer 4 beers while we are also offering a discounted mixed case.
Mill Green is an eco-friendly micro based behind the White Horse in Edwardstone, just outside Sudbury. Due to very limited runs we currently only offer 2 of their beers but will be looking to add more as they become available.

Over 50 new beers available!
We have recently added over 50 beers to our range, from breweries across the whole country. New breweries featured are Brewdog, Burton Bridge, Church End, City of Cambridge, Coniston, Downton, Hobsons, Holden's, Hook Norton, Hopback, Lymestone, St Austell, Wentworth, White Shield, Williams Bros and Wye Valley
Over the coming week I will also endeavor to make more mixed cases available at discounted prices so watch this space.
As usual I would be pleased to hear of any breweries you would like to see available, or indeed of any other feedback you may have.

Last orders before Xmas.
Just a quick note to say that any orders required before Christmas must be with us by the end of Sunday 20th December. Though we can't give a 100% guarantee that they will arrive in time, past experience suggests that they should. Please also be aware that we will not be able to deliver any orders received after this date until the new year.

The Bottled Ale Co. @ Colchester Christmas Fair
East Anglian based visitors may be interested to know that we plan on running a stall at Colchester Christmas Fair. This popular annual event will be taking place on Colchester High Steet on Sunday November 29th.
This gives you an opportunity to pick up some of our great range of beers without having to pay for postage.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to stock our full range, therefore if you plan on visiting it may be worth dropping us a line so we can put some by for you.
Please note that prices at the fair may vary to those on the website, mainly to enable us to sort change out more easily.

24 new beers added
We are always looking to keep our range interesting and varied. We are therefore delighted to announce that we have added new beers from the following breweries;
Conwy brewery from North Wales, with 5 to choose from.
Greenfield brewery from Lancashire, with 4 ales available.
An organic stout from Hawkshead brewery in Cumbria.
Also from Cumbria, a couple of ales from Keswick brewery.
Back to Wales and the Purple Moose brewery, with 4 ales on offer.
A good range of 5 ales from Tollgate brewery in Derbyshire.
Ulverston brewery in Cumbria provide us with a wonderful bitter called Laughing Gravy.
Finally we have a couple of additions to our range of Saltaire brewery beers.
Mixed cases will be put together during the week, including hopefully some special offers only available to newsletter subscribers.

St Jude's Brewery beers added.
We have added a range of beers from St Jude's brewery in Ipswich. This includes both traditional ales as well as some seasonals. Case discounts have been made available for all the beers as well as a mixed case.

Minimum order level changed.
We have reduced the minimum spend on the site from £25 to £18. This is because we have cases available for just over £18, meaning it is now possible to purchase just one of these cases in one visit.

Boggart Beers on Clearance
We have stock of Boggart Brew, Rum Porter and Sundial that have reached their Best Before End date. We have therefore reduced their prices. Please note that this does not mean the beer is 'off' as it is not being exposed to oxygen. It should still taste great even around Christmas time.
